Several years ago while
we were still living up north, we flew to San Francisco and
a friend said, "You must go take the 'Seventeen Mile Drive'
along the Pacific Coast south of here." We wondered what it
meant but we dutifully started out early the next morning
and anyone who has experienced this trip will understand our
reaction to this incredible experience.
Of course, we saw those
lovely old cypress trees with their tops looking like they
had been sawed off in a horizontal manner by some giant with
a huge buzz saw. Of course, this is caused by the relentless
winds blowing off the Pacific Ocean. We saw people come out
of their lovely homes and get into their golf carts to drive
over to Pebble Beach to play golf. We visited the lovely
Clubhouse at Pebble Beach. Anyone can go in there, because
it is a Golf Course which is open to the public.
Well, we never dreamed
that we would ever be able to experience anything even
remotely similar to that kind of lifestyle but thanks to us
discovering this section of Florida which offers the "best
value for the buck" compared to any other place we visited,
we live a golfing lifestyle without spending a fortune to do
it. If you want more information on how you, too can do
this, call me, Joan Schall at (352) 346-5740 or you
can e-mail me.
